Hypnotherapy can help your weight loss journey

Hypnotherapy is imagination therapy, therefore as long as you can imagine your desired outcome, a healthy weight can be attainable (including weight loss) through appropriate changes. These changes to your eating habits, thoughts and feelings can prove to be very effective.

I can help you change the way you approach food and eating and how this models your everyday life in turn. My goal is to guide you to become healthier and to have a healthy and helpful relationship with food, your body and your mind.

Appropriate weight management can be achieved by becoming aware of your habits, thoughts, emotions, triggers, cravings and overall behaviour related to food and weight management. While letting go of distorted eating and guilt.

I am not a nutritionist, therefore I will not tell you what to eat and I for sure do not encourage calorie counting or any other diets. I am however able to help you reconnect your mind to your body and vice versa in order to become aware of your hunger, exercise and eat according to your needs.

Did you know that sleep deprivation can lead to weight gain? Not getting enough sleep on a regular basis can lead to increased appetite, cravings and emotional eating which in turn affect your weight loss efforts. Losing sleep can also result in having less energy for exercise and physical activity.

Are you struggling with your weight?

You are not alone. The grand majority of diets do not work and that is not because of something you have done wrong or because you are not ‘good’ enough in your food choices or strictness. The diet culture is simply aimed towards that attainable image which makes you ‘fail’ ultimately.

During our sessions, we look in detail at your current eating habits and we work to build your self-esteem and confidence so you can make lasting changes. We can work together to access the particular triggers and emotions that drive you to overeat, and allow you to become free of them.

Please note: I am unable to work with you if you have been diagnosed with an eating disorder such as Anorexia or Bulimia. In those cases I would highly recommend you seek support from your GP as they would be best equipped to help.
