Stress is a response which can be helpful or not. It is most helpful to experience a short period sense of urgency and a low to moderate amount of stress when we are getting ready for an interview or having a deadline for example. However, living in a constant high-alert, stressful state can be damaging not only to our mental health but to our physical one too. Often times stress manifests itself through tension in our bodies, therefore we can expect the two to go hand in hand.

Hypnotherapy can help you live your life more relaxed (i.e. less tension) and to appropriately manage your stress levels and ultimately your response to stress.

I can help you change the way you approach stressful situations or triggers, and how these model your everyday life in turn. My goal is to guide you to become healthier and to have a healthy and helpful relationship with your body and mind, even in those stressful situations such as new job interviews.

Stress sometimes can be summarised as overwhelm. An ongoing state with pressures felt both psychologically and physically, such as: lack of concentration, excessive worry, mood swings, irritability, feeling overly sensitive, defensive or frustrated, unusual muscle tension, teeth grinding, weight loss or gain, dizziness, experiencing sleep disorders or even palpitations. 

Did you know that sleep deprivation can lead to increased stress levels? Not getting enough sleep on a regular basis can lead to increased worrying thoughts, unusual cravings and emotional torment which in turn affect your stress coping efforts. Losing sleep can also result in having less energy for exercise and physical activity.

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can help you learn more helpful ways to respond to your stress triggers, as well as gain real and lasting relief by reducing the underlying stress and anxiety. It helps you feel more relaxed, rational and in control so you can cope better each day.
